March 3rd - 5th 2023
Woof Portraits and Jonny, the London Dog Photographer will be returning to Barkney Wick for another weekend of fun at East London’s Barkney Wick. A dog oasis in the heart of Hackney Wick.
He will be there once again with his pop-up studio for one-to-one sessions. We will be taking as many walk-ins as possible on the weekend but to avoid disappointment please book in advance.
The Woof Portraits exhibition will be open for the public to enjoy at all times (unless we have an especially nervous dog!). I will be displaying new work and some of my all time favourites!
We will also have some examples of Jonny’s dog portraits from previous events as well as other printed products that will be available to order following your photoshoot.
If you have had a shoot with us before you are always welcome to order any new printed product, including prints and framed prints. We will have throw cushions, mugs and more!
Tickets are going FAST so book a slot for a photoshoot with Jonny HERE! (No booking fee)
We look forward to seeing you there!
What a year it was for Woof Portraits! Not only did we take part in the very first Chelsea Dog Day event in the height of summer but we had another exhibition and photoshoot with Jonny Bosworth, the London Dog Photographer.
Chelsea Dog Day was organised by Cadogan, with the support of local dog enthusiasts May Wong (www.missdarcy.org) and Gaynor Jackson (Four Legged Foodies). The Four Legged Foodies are a long term friend of Woof Portraits and we were lucky enough to feature their poster boys, Archie & Nacho, in the window of Papersmiths, our host for the day. They were both excellent models, firstly for Jonny who took their photos and then for me! It was an excellent event, the scale was huge with all the major brands taking part. We had a lot of fun and can’t wait to do it again in the summer 2023!
Also in November we had another event at Barkney Wick, which was just in time for Christmas! This time around we introduced a booking system that meant that we could photograph more dogs throughout the weekend and also allowed time for walk-ins.
We met lots of dogs, many local but some who travelled from the other side of London to see us!
Maze is a cockapoo puppy who had just started puppy training at Barkney Wick, she is the cutest and most cuddliest bundle of fluff! I was treated with the task of producing her portrait using one of Jonny’s photos as reference. His photos are perfect to work with and it turned out to be one of my favourite portraits. It arrived Just in time for Christmas!
Barkney Wick is one of East London’s finest new businesses and has had a real positive impact on the dog community in Hackney Wick. We love working with them and are looking forward to doing many more events there in the future.

In March 2022 Woof Portraits had an exhibition of my favourite custom dog portraits! We took over the doggy day care area of the Barkney Wick Café, East London’s trendiest venue.
It was amazing to see the artwork printed on this scale. You can really appreciate all of the hand drawn detail that makes up each one and the background colours just look stunning.
I was lucky enough to meet some of my models in person and have them pose with their life size portraits. Georgie was one of those dogs who came along to show her support.
Jonny, aka The London Dog Photographer, took so many amazing photos of our dog visitors. His pop-up studio took the weekend to the next level. It was the perfect opportunity to have a top quality professional photograph taken. Not only did they get a taste of the modelling world but many many treats too! He did such a good job.
Photos from each session were available to buy as prints or use as reference for a custom pet portrait by Woof Portraits.
Elvis the Iggy was one such pup! He was the star of the show, just as you’d expect with a name like that. Just check out this clip from his photoshoot, those hips are something else!
His fur mom was so impressed with his photos that she bought two prints and commissioned a custom Woof Portraits for her flat which is now, rightly so, a shrine to her beloved Elvis.
We had the best time and can’t wait to do it all over again soon!
You can find out more about how to commission your very own custom pet portrait here.
Barkney Wick is the perfect hub for the local dog community in Hackney Wick whose dog population is growing by the day. As well as a doggy day care service, they serve excellent coffee and vegan treats, have a fabulous array of dog nibbles and toy and open their doors in the evening for wine, beers and dog themed cocktails at the After Bark Bar.
Keep an eye on our socials for more news about our next event!
